With Digital India’s vision of advancing India to its next stage of development – where every child has access to education, e-governance services, and is empowered to navigate the Digital World safely, the topic of digital citizenship is gaining momentum around the world. Whether it is called digital citizenship, digital wellness or digital ethics the issues are the same; how one should act when online, and the cyber ethics that the next generation must be aware of.
Additionally, with the growth in the use of technology in all spheres of life, there is a need to discuss the responsible use of technology. Based on the evidence of misuse and abuse of emerging technologies, it has become important to include this topic in the mainstream of the education system. Addressing the need, Learning Links Foundation is happy to introduce the Cyber Security programme, an initiative supported by Dell Technologies.
This program is designed with the vision to create awareness amongst students and communities around their schools about cyber safety. The learning modules will empower learners with knowledge related to digital citizenship, cyber security, cyber child safety, and digital wellbeing. We hope that this, in turn, will normalize conversations about the risks and concerns to be mindful of as a user of technology.
‘Cyber Security Program’ focusing on ‘Digital Wellbeing and Cyber Safety’ is being implemented in schools and colleges.
